On 21 August 2026, Mrs. Punwipa Na Bangchang Wiesener, Acting Consul-General of Thailand in Hong Kong, presided over the media launch event of the upgraded dinner buffet with Thai culinary delights at the Market, Icon Hotel, in collaboration with Chang Beer and Drop by Dough. Starting 21 August 2026, The Market's buffet line-up will feature an exclusive Thai culinary upgrade, including dishes such as Thai-style shrimp sashimi and steamed garoupa with lime, paired with free-flow Chang Beer/Soda beverages and unlimited Drop by Dough artisanal doughnuts, in addition to the restaurant's famous offerings of sweet dishes made from durians, a popular fruit also grown in Thailand.

On this occasion, the Royal Thai Consulate-General, in cooperation with the Thai Trade Commission in Hong Kong and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (Hong Kong Office), also invited KOLs and food influencers in Hong Kong to attend the event with an aim to promote Thai cuisine in Hong Kong and Thai soft power to the wider public.
