Emergency Travel Document (ETD) Application for Thai Tourist that lost their passport
Required Supporting Documents
- Application for Emergency Travel Document (ETD) Form
- Current Thai Passport
- Thai National Identity Card
- Hong Kong or Macao Identity Card (if applicable)
Addtional Information
- Applicants must submit their application for an Emergency Travel Document (ETD) at the Consulate-General in person.
- If a valid (unexpired) passport is lost, the applicant must report the loss to the Hong Kong or Macao Police Force and present the official police report to the Consulate-General to apply for a new travel document.
- In the event that the passport is lost in Macao, the passport holder must report the loss to the Macao Police, contact the Macao Public Security Police Force (Immigration Department), and contact the Consulate-General via telephone prior to traveling to receive the document in Hong Kong. This allows consular staffs to review the details and coordinate with the Hong Kong Immigration Department to facilitate the applicant's entry into Hong Kong via the ferry terminal.
- Consular staffs reserve the right to request additional supporting documents or evidence as deemed necessary.
