On 24 July 2024, Mr. Chaturont Chaiyakam, Consul-General of Thailand, attended the opening ceremony of “Thai Food Think Thailand Tasting Luncheon 2024” jointly organised by Thai Trade Center, Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s School of Hotel and Tourism Management, and Banyan Tree Macau, at Bistro 1973, Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

The event was aimed at promoting Thai food by presenting various delicacies from Thailand cooked with quality ingredients, creating further market demand for Thai food products, as well as strengthening Thailand’s soft power in the area of food in Hong Kong and Macau.
