Fingerprinting Services for Police Clearance / Criminal Record Certificates
The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Hong Kong provides fingerprinting services only. Applicants must submit their documents and apply for the Police Clearance Certificate directly with the Royal Thai Police through either of the following methods: (1) submitting the application in person at the Royal Thai Police headquarters in Thailand, or (2) executing a Power of Attorney (POA) to authorize a representative to act on their behalf.
1. For Thai Nationals
Required Supporting Documents
- Application for Legalization Form
- Valid Thai Passport
- Valid Thai National Identity Card
- Hong Kong or Macao Identity Card
- Proof of employment or education in Hong Kong or Macao
- Copy of Thai House Registration
- Copy of Marriage Certificate, Divorce Certificate, or Certificate of Name/Surname Change (if applicable)
- Copy of Military Service Certificate (Sor Dor 9) or Military Exemption Certificate (Sor Dor 43)
- 3 copies of recent 2-inch color photograph
- Fee: 280 HKD in cash (140 HKD per one fingerprint form; 2 forms are required)
Note: This service cannot be processed by mail. Applicants must book an appointment in advance and appear in person at the Consulate-General.
2. For Foreign Nationals
Required Supporting Documents
- Application for Legalization Form
- Valid Passport
- Hong Kong or Macao Identity Card
- Proof of employment or education in Hong Kong or Macao
- Copy of the passport pages containing Thai visas and immigration entry/exit stamps from the period of residence in Thailand
- Copy of the Thai Work Permit held during employment in Thailand
- Employment Verification Letter from the employer/company in Thailand
- 3 copies of recent 2-inch color photograph
- Fee: 280 HKD in cash (140 HKD per one fingerprint form; 2 forms are required).
Note: This service cannot be processed by mail. Applicants must appear in person at the Consulate-General.
Remarks
- Applicants must contact the Consulate-General at least 3 business days in advance to schedule an appointment for document submission and fingerprinting.
- The Consulate-General shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage to documents incurred during postal transit.
