On 10 November 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, met with The Honourable John Lee Ka-chiu, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, at the Chief Executive’s Office in Hong Kong.

The Foreign Minister shared information about the Thai government’s “quick big win” policies and its commitment to addressing economic challenges. Both sides discussed ways to promote cooperation between Thailand and Hong Kong, particularly in areas such as food security, tourism, biotechnology, and connectivity. Both sides agreed that Thailand and Hong Kong can serve as gateways to ASEAN with mainland China. On this occasion, the Chief Executive of Hong Kong extended an invitation to the Prime Minister to visit Hong Kong at mutually convenient time.
