On 26 October 2025, Mr. Chaturont Chaiyakam, Consul-General of Thailand and Mrs. Phornmon Chansri, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand's Hong Kong Office, attended the inaugural flight ceremony of the United Airlines UA820 flight from Hong Kong to Bangkok. The Consul-General also met with United Airlines' executives and greeted the flight's passengers.

At present, there are 8 airlines operating flights from Hong Kong to destinations in Thailand including Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket and Koh Samui, totaling over 110 direct flights per week.
