On 11 April 2026, Mr. Chaturont Chaiyakam, Consul-General of Thailand in Hong Kong SAR attended the Lao New Year Ceremony at the Lake House Tai Po Kau. During the ceremony, the Consul-General of Thailand wished Mr. Ammala Saenchonghack, Consul-General of Lao PDR in Hong Kong SAR and the Laotian community in Hong Kong SAR a happy new year.
