On 2 April 2026, Mr. Chaturont Chaiyakam, Consul-General of Thailand in Hong Kong, presided over the opening ceremony of the Songkran Festival 2026 at the PMQ, Central, Hong Kong SAR, organized by the HK Talent Star Co., Ltd. and supported by the Royal Thai Consulate-General, the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) and the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Hong Kong Office from 3 - 5 April 2026. Dr. Bernard Chan, Undersecretary for Commerce and Economic Development also attended the opening ceremony.
