Visa Information and Requirements


Additional Requirements for Selected Nationalities

Group A

Holders of passports or other travel documents who are nationals of countries listed below are required to additionally produce the following documents
  • Full travel itinerary, including flight tickets arriving and departing Thailand, and complete proof of accommodation
  • A copy of Hong Kong or Macao identity card notarised by authorised Hong Kong or Macao notary public
  • An original guarantee letter from the employer/organization. For those who are non-working residents, please provide an explanation letter with related documents

Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Botswana, Cabo Verde, Cameroon, Central African, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Republic of Botswana, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Group B

Group C

Holders of passports or other travel documents who are nationals of countries listed below are required to additionally produce the following documents
  • Full travel itinerary, including flight tickets arriving and departing Thailand, and complete proof of accommodation
  • A copy of Hong Kong or Macao identity card notarised by authorised Hong Kong or Macao notary public
  • Certificate of Clearance from Nigeria National Drug Law Enforcement Agency verified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria and the Royal Thai Embassy in Abuja
  • An original guarantee letter from the employer/organization. For those who are non-working residents, please provide an explanation letter with related documents

Yellow Fever Infected Areas

Travellers travellling from/through countries which have been declared Yellow Fever Infected Areas must acquire an International Health Certificate verifying the receiving of a Yellow Fever vaccination.

The International Health Certificate must be submitted together with the visa application form. The traveler will also have to present the said certificate to the Immigration Officer upon arrival at the port of entry in the Kingdom.

A Yellow Fever certificate is valid ten days after vaccination (counting day of vaccination as day one) and will be valid for ten years.

For nationals of the countries listed below who have not travelled from/through those countries, such certificate is not required. However, they should possess concrete evidence showing that their domicile is not in an infected area so as to prevent unnecessary inconvenience.
